Ana Fitheo

Playing off the organic imperfections inherent in the grain of wood, Ana Fithéo conjures in these works from her Archipelago series, a profound probing of the colour grey and its many shades to dazzle the viewer’s eye. Grey has proven to be one of Ana’s central colours throughout her body of work, not only because it is the hue of so many media—graphite, charcoal, gouache, oils and so on—but also because it comes with such an impressive range of tones with which to work.
