My studio, located on a small island in the Bahamas, is my place of tranquillity, passion and inspiration. I am grateful every day to open the doors and create. This is my story.

I’ve been expressing myself artistically for over thirty years, yet the path to pursue art on a professional level has been as unpredictable and flowing as the paint that washes over my canvases. Sketching and drawing in my formative years, it was not until after raising a family and pursuing a career that I was able to create full-time on a professional level. Travel is part of my lifestyle, and creating a “studio” is vital to me, whether it is on a boat, a veranda, or in a dedicated workspace.

After losing our new home to Hurricane Dorian in 2019, I set up my paints and canvas anywhere I could, even claiming the new generator shed as my own! After rebuilding our main home, we were able to construct my current studio on the property, tucked away amongst the newly planted palm trees. The cupboards, counters, easels, worktables and my beloved scullery sink were transported from Montreal to the Bahamas by truck, container ship, ferry and golf cart, finally arriving to re-create Wendy Fee Studio Art on the small island of Man-O-War, Abaco.

The proximity to nature in its largest forms, such as oceans and mountains, has a profound impact on my body of work. The challenge of balancing all that technology has to offer with the quality of life we live offline resonates deeply with me.

I have known Wendy for what seems like an eternity. Admiration of what she has done, and continues to do, cannot be expressed in words as there are not enough to fully appreciate how one individual can, as they say “do it all”. Her talents are now being realized through her art after achieving a lifestyle that would be the envy of anyone who has the privilege of meeting Wendy. I congratulate artascent for recognizing Wendy as a truly gifted artist and I feel privileged to be her friend.
