Fashioned through an experimental process, photographic prints made by Hugo Hentoff are imbued with contradictions. Intricately detailed hair of the portrayed subjects stands in opposition to their blurry, hard-to-recognize faces, allowing for free interpretation of their physical characteristics, as well as their true character. Still, these photographic pieces are made as portraits, encapsulating more than mere physicality of the models. Hugo Hentoff is the Silver Artist of the ArtAscent “Portraits” call for artists.
